Fun in the Tub!

We gave Ellie her first tub bath yesterday, and I think she is going to like bath time. She really didn't cry and just laid there and let us wash her. She is really filling out and getting some chub on her thighs! I love it!

Thanks Mom for taking such good care of us! We miss you so much (especially your good cooking :)! I don't know what we would have done without you.

Christmas Fun!

We had a great Christmas this year! It was so good to have family in town to celebrate with Miss Ellie! My parents gave us a new camera, and we love it! Grandma Re and my Dad (he has yet to pick a grandpa name) gave Ellie her own Eloise dolls and books. She had lots of fun opening them :)

The Best Christmas Present Ever!

We are so blessed to have this little angel with us for Christmas! She is just the sweetest baby, and we are having so much fun with her. Thanks to everyone for all your thoughts and prayers during this special time for us. I can't wait for you all to meet her soon!

Ellie got to meet her Uncle Coe last night. I think they are really going to like each other ;)! Here are some pics of some "first times" from this week. First hair wash, sponge bath, ride in the swing, etc...She also has a belly button now! It feel off yesterday.

First Doctor's Appointment

We got a great report for Ellie's first doctor's appointment! She had gained 5oz since we left the hospital which makes her 5.45 lbs! We have her on a high calorie preemie formula, and it seems to be doing the trick. I never knew a few ounces could make me so proud. Her health is great and she is getting so big and strong! Here are some pics from the appointment and a few more off my mom's camera.

Ellie Grace is here!!!

She is here and more than we ever imagined! She is so tiny and just the sweetest little thing! We finally got home today, and we are so blessed to be out of the hospital. I will update more later but wanted to go ahead and get some pictures posted. Lots more to come!!

36 Week Appt.

We had our 36 week appointment yesterday and things are progressing a little more than I expected. I was dialated to a 1 and my cervix has already started to thin. So, that being said, my doctor said she would definitely induce by the 31st if we haven't had her by then (but she seemed to think that it might not be that long). I was really glad to have an end date in mind and to know that we will have her this month! My blood pressure has gone up a lot and they tested me for pre-eclampsia but the first round of testing came back ok, so that is a relief. I go back tomorrow for a repeat visit and some more blood work just to be on the safe side, so hopefully that will come back ok as well. After yesterday, reality has really sunk in that we are about to have this baby girl! I'm excited, anxious, overwhelmed, etc...and I cannot wait to meet her!

Ellie's Room is Finished!

We finished the room while my mom was here, and everything is ready to go! Now all we need is the baby! We had a really nice visit with all of our company, and they will all be back here before we know it.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for this year...the most important being Ellie, our family, and friends! My mom is here and we have been busy shopping and getting everything ready for the rest of our company coming in. My dad, Coe, and Miki will be here tomorrow night and we are looking forward to having them here! I will try to update with some pics soon!

3D/4D Ultrasound

We had a 3D/4D ultrasound done today, and it was so neat! Not sure who she looks like yet but she has big chubby cheeks and lips and a round button nose. They gave us a DVD of the whole session, and it will be really fun to show her one day. Here are some pics, and I will try to upload a small clip from the session.
