Ellie's Room is Finished!

We finished the room while my mom was here, and everything is ready to go! Now all we need is the baby! We had a really nice visit with all of our company, and they will all be back here before we know it.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Just wanted to wish everyone a Happy Thanksgiving! We have so much to be thankful for this year...the most important being Ellie, our family, and friends! My mom is here and we have been busy shopping and getting everything ready for the rest of our company coming in. My dad, Coe, and Miki will be here tomorrow night and we are looking forward to having them here! I will try to update with some pics soon!

3D/4D Ultrasound

We had a 3D/4D ultrasound done today, and it was so neat! Not sure who she looks like yet but she has big chubby cheeks and lips and a round button nose. They gave us a DVD of the whole session, and it will be really fun to show her one day. Here are some pics, and I will try to upload a small clip from the session.

32 Weeks and Diabetes

We had our 32 week appointment today and everything is still right on track. Her heartbeat was 150, and she was very active in there this morning! I found out last Friday that I have gestational diabetes and met with the diabetes clinic on Monday. Right now we are just going to control it with a strict diet, and I have to test my blood sugar throughout the day. So far this is working out fine and hopefully I won't have to get insulin injections. They say this is a fairly common condition in pregnancy but I was still surprised to have it because I didn't have any of the symptoms. The good thing is that this will go away after I have the baby. I now have a huge respect for people who have to deal with diabetes on a daily basis because it can be a really scary disease.
On another note, my mom has finished the bedding and is mailing it to me this week. I will post some pics as soon as we get that set up! I can't believe we only have 8 more weeks to go!

Who will Ellie look like?

While I was home in AR, I found some pictures of me and Carter when we were around 1 year old. It's fun to think about who she will look like! I bet she will end up being a combination of both of us.

30 Week Appointment

I went for our 30 week appointment today, and everything still looks great! I start going every 2 weeks now, and I can't believe that we only have 10 weeks left to go. I am getting ready! I do have to take the 3 hour gestational diabetes test next week because my readings were too high on the first one. I am really dreading this test and hope that I pass it this time!
We got our host gift in today, and we love it! I already had to put it together and practice the stroller/car seat combo. The first time I attempted to use the combo was with Cole at the Promenade, and it was a very funny experience! Thanks again to all the hosts from our shower for such a nice gift!

Baby Shower's!

Thanks to all our friends for hosting such a fun baby shower for us on Friday night!! We had a great time, and it was so good to see everyone! And thanks to Victoria and Chris for letting us invade your new house; it is so pretty! Ellie got some really fabulous gifts, and we can't wait for her to get to use them.
Also, Anita's Bible Study had a little shower for me on Thursday night, and they gave us some really nice things too.
It is so wonderful to come home to such great friends and family who are so excited to share in the joy of Ellie Grace!
